All of the plants and animals are native to the state of Minnesota and are found in the deciduous forests. The top left corner represents fall with a monarch on a purple coneflower purple asters and oak leaves. The top right corner is winter with jack pine cones, barred owl, and snowflakes. The bottom right corner represents spring with the wood frog, trillium and hepatica. Then last is summer, with a ruby-throated hummingbird, bee balm, and dragonflies.
